If you investigate applications of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) for learning and performance support, you’ll quickly realize there’s a lot to learn. Hardware and development tools are changing rapidly. There are many options to choose from, and it can be difficult to develop accurate cost estimates.

Programmer and Media Developer Walter Schirmacher will put you on the fast track to getting started with AR and VR, from the practical point of view of a long-time e-learning developer. He’ll also share some examples of AR and VR solutions.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Describe the difference between AR and VR
  • Recognize when AR or VR are appropriate solutions for learning or performance support needs
  • Recognize factors that impact the cost of AR and VR solutions
  • List some advantages of AR and VR compared to other delivery methods
