Innovative Learning Group, Inc. (ILG) is pleased to announce that Project Manager and Performance Consultant Mike Blahnik has been named one of Training magazine’s 2017 Emerging Training Leaders. He will be honored at an awards ceremony in February 2018 during the Training 2018 Conference & Expo in Atlanta.
“I am honored to be included in this list of training leaders,” says Blahnik. “Being at ILG has afforded me great opportunities to learn and grow every day. I very much look forward to having a long and successful career in the learning industry.”
Training magazine also named Blahnik an Emerging Training Leader to Watch in 2015.
He also recently received a Most Valuable Millennial award by Corp! magazine. This award recognizes professionals who demonstrate strong leadership skills and who are making business happen in Michigan. Blahnik accepted the award at a reception held April 27 at the International Banquet Center in Detroit.
He is past president of the Michigan Chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) and has held key roles at ISPI’s annual international conference, including moderating the Executive Buzz panel, chairing the Emerging Professionals Network, and mentoring emerging professionals.
Blahnik is a regular guest speaker on the college circuit and has presented to graduate students in the psychology, training and development, and performance improvement departments of Eastern Michigan University, University of Detroit Mercy, Wayne State University, and Western Michigan University.
He has a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Michigan University. He also isrecognized as a Six Boxes® Practitioner by the Performance Thinking Network.
