“I’ve yet to meet an employee of an organization who doesn’t want to improve his or her job performance or add even more value to the workplace,” says Joyce Katona, a project manager and instructional designer at Innovative Learning Group.
With 25 years’ experience in training and performance improvement, Joyce contributes to ILG’s already robust capabilities by working with clients to determine their needs and provide them with the learning solutions necessary to improve business results. She has applied her skills and knowledge across many projects in a variety of industries, including automotive, insurance, manufacturing, and state government.
Joyce also has extensive experience developing custom training solutions on diverse topics, including leadership, health and safety, and soft skills, such as communication and conflict management.
“It brings me immense satisfaction knowing that the employee training I create is intended to make the employees better versions of themselves,” she says.
Additionally, Joyce has long-standing ties to Oakland University (OU) in Rochester, Michigan, where she is now a special lecturer. Previously, she earned a doctorate in education with a focus on organizational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in human resource development from OU. Joyce also has a master’s degree in adult learning from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
