Laura Vavrek is a project manager and performance consultant at Innovative Learning Group.
Throughout her 20-year career as a project manager and instructional designer, Laura has enjoyed opportunities to continuously learn and grow while helping her clients to do the same. She is passionate about performance-based learning and has worked on multiple projects for a variety of industries, including food service, financial services, safety, healthcare and clinical research, retail, and automotive.
Laura has experience working across numerous delivery methods and has completed extensive work in the areas of e-learning and mobile learning design and development and performance analysis. One of her greatest accomplishments is her work on the National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course, which has been taken by more than 60 million people.
Laura’s strong instructional design background, attention to detail, and ability to analyze gaps allow her to determine what matters most and design learning solutions that impact business results. Part of her success is her ability to collaborate with internal and external teams, and build great relationships along the way.
Laura is a former member of the Detroit Chapter of the Association for Talent Development board of directors having served as past-president (2017), president (2016), president-elect (2015), and vice president of membership (2014).
Laura has a bachelor’s degree in human resources development from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
