The Year That Was…The Year Ahead

Welcome to 2015!

This is the time of year I like to pause for a moment (if you know me well, you know I don’t stand still very often). However, I would like to reflect on the past year — and what a year it was — as well as look forward to what the new one will bring.

2014…

We reveled in celebrating ILG’s 10-year anniversary. 2014 could not have been better; it ended up our best year ever! Here are just a few highlights:

  • Our sales were up nearly 40% over our previous best year.
  • We added five new clients from two new industries to our mix.
  • We welcomed five new employees to our talented team.

I can’t tell you how gratifying it is to see ILG flourish; it validates that what we are doing as a company, with employees, and with clients must be right.

2015…

I’m forecasting another strong year with steady profitable growth and the anticipation that comes with “scaling to the next level”. My plans for the year include revisiting our corporate identity and branding, beefing up our IT infrastructure, evolving our service offerings with a focus on mobile and portals, and adding several strategic resources.

One of the most exciting events this year is our planned move to a corporate headquarters in nearby Troy. This new office is more than double the size of our current location, and renovations should be complete sometime around the third quarter. We can’t wait!

My involvement with the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) will continue this year. As many of you know, ISPI has played a big part in my professional life, and it has been extremely gratifying to serve as the Society’s president and past president. I’m looking forward to helping the Society navigate through a critical time — we are bringing in new leadership, and crafting our next strategy and way forward.

On a personal note, my husband, Jeff, and I will watch our two daughters, Alex and Kit, graduate this coming spring… one from college and one from high school. We are very proud of them! This is an exciting time for our family as Jeff and I prepare for life as empty nesters.

Finally, I’d like to end my reflection with “Thank You!” Thank you to our wonderful staff and our amazing clients. And thank you to our fantastic contractors and vendors. ILG wouldn’t be heading where it is today without all of you.

Cheers to 2015!
