So, What's The Difference?

DESIGN PROTOTYPE A design prototype is the graphical look-and-feel of a deliverable, such as an e-learning.

It’s a series of flat graphics that show the style of the images, selected fonts, and screen layout design for menus, templated interactions, and more.

A design prototype is often created in software like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or PowerPoint.

FUNCTIONAL PROTOTYPE  A functional prototype builds on the design prototype and adds navigation.

It’s no longer a static file, but a dynamic interactive template ready for course authoring of storyboard content.

A functional prototype is often built in software such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, or Captivate.
